The next Zep?

I love to look at stuff on YouTube for the strange. You all are hip to the new and wtf that haunts the the middle of the night part of our brain.
I watched an interview with Robert Plant getting the same old same old. The question giver did not get same old on one question. Robert's answer was Greta Van Fleet. Van is a prefix from Holland, German is Von. Theses kids are from? but it's not Holland.
I saw a live thing on YouTube and I don't know what to think. Do we have a rebirth of Zeppelin?

The young band sounds good. They're from Michigan. The lead singer, guitar, and bass player are all brothers. The 22 years old guitarist is, Jake Kiszka. He's on the cover of the latest Guitar Player magazine. I do hear some good old Zeppy, raw and crunchy rock and roll, from these youngsters.

What's known about the audience of these guys? Grufties like me or people of their generation?
Are you a Gruftie Bea?

I like them. I say that with hesitation because that singer let's go and his twin brother on guitar just doesn't have one drop of Jimmy Page in his hands. He just leans back but that mean lean doesn't come out of the speaker. The bass player is a beast and covers the dead air the main guitar should.
Now the drummer, he looks like he should be in prison. He doesn't play like that. That maniac look only goes so far. I see him doing Zen and fly killing. He just doesn't have it in him to really wack that bug into small pieces. Hey they are all just in high school and better than most bands that have been together for years. They keep their heads on straight and no drugs or suicide they will be fantastic. They really need a good song writer.

They don't suck, but there is not one thing about them that makes me want to give them another spin. Not when there are so many truly fantastic new bands making music that is a lot less derivative. And I don't hear one iota of the magic that Zeppelin had in their music.

Any band getting rock and roll out to the younger generation is great by me.

I like these young kids, but like GBall I know there a lot of great bands that are not getting recognition.
The Ohio music scene is just teaming with talent!

I LOVE these guys...at least this track. I LOVE the classic vibe....

Why not give them credit for themselves rather than comparing them
to a mediocre at best band from over 40 years ago that somehow have
since been elevated to an undeserved status that makes them the objects
of an admiration that borders on the fringes of fanatical cultism?
It's even worse than the Jimi thing. At least he had talent.

Sheesh, talk about drinking the cool aid...
