I would have never given up the car...![]()

I have chronic GAS for a Firebird I. Someday I WILL have one...
Which type? For some reason I want a I instead of the more common (and due to the neck pickup more versatile) III, V or VII. They all look flippin' great, but I suspect my love for Clapton has something to do with my preferences. (But then there's Johnny Winter...)I am dangerously close to picking up another one. .

I came close to buying a discounted Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Firebird I a while back, but then I found the Gibson Les Paul Goldtop at the same time. The Firebird was one of the gold colored ones. It is actually still available...
Robert Anna is dead now. My friends that have Cobras feel the same way. I have a buyer for the 2017 Aston Martin DB11 what do I need a 200+ MPH car for ???
It's the insurance that's the killer I have a clean driving record. As far as cars my Van and Anna's Honda Pilot are just fine I can load all the bands gear in both the Van and Honda.

My inspiration to get one actually came from this guy:

They are a better hard rock machine than blues machine IMHO.

I like my '76 Bicentennial Firebird. It has odd pickups. They are ceramic, and don't sound like a '60s Bird, but they don't sound like a modern Bird either. If the guitar wasn't mint, and 100% original, I might try swapping the pickups. But I really like it. I've owned it since the hair metal days of the '80s when everyone wanted Charvels and Jacksons, and I grabbed this for chump change.

That's my friend Riggs playing drums. He's also the singer for Roadsaw and the drummer for White Dynomite.
I had two and never bonded...the second is on the way to a gentleman in Florida as I type...
Gball that is a beautiful guitar. I was always big on Firebird, I was looking for a Telecaster and a Firebird got there first. It is a LTD edition Epiphone in TV blue and it came with classic 57s. The full size pups looked wrong so I installed Gibson mini humbuckers in it. This photo was taken mid install.
