Lets see em--- whats the "weirdest" quirkiest ---odd ball--rare or unique guitar you own.....or WANT to own??

I have rather a few------ but I would say --- according to research the rarest I have is the Gibson Sb-450 bass
only 237 ever where made in this color-- this one is very close to all original (except the pots and cap and input jack--thanks Drumoid!!!)

I guess The Quirkiest I own, is an SG I made when I was 16. It has a racing stripe I made with electrical tape....lol, I was 16.

The quirkiest I want to own is an Ibanez RG652bg....but it's not available for a few months from my dealer. It's not really quirky, but it looks real funky depending on the light or angle.

The most quirky I have, and the second most are on the wall above me just now.
The first I put together from a Pit Bull kit as a 335 12 string for my wife. It was let down by cheapo pups and pots and she left it to gathering dust. I upgraded and now it's great, so good I converted to 6 string for myself. The pressure is on (I'm resisting) to change it back to 12 :-(
The second on the quirky scale is a Strat put together from garbage bin find parts and left over paint. It has an upmarket loaded pick guard from 920D and sounds as good as some big $ Strats in the collection.

I don't technically own these, as they were all purpose built for orders. But they are indeed WEIRD.

First up the world famous "Roach Lap Steel"

The guy in the soundhole is the manager of the place. The gill is a rod piezo bridge, the eye is the volume knob.

You've heard of spider bridges on resonator guitars? I took it a little further.
The rod piezo spider bridge with bone saddle, on a three pair dulcimer strummer.

I made it in wood shop freshman/sophomore year I think. School ended before I finished. The neck is off an SG copy my brother gave me. For some reason I tossed the body....young and stupid.

Now that I'm older and stupid, I would like to finish it, but I wouldn't even know where to start. The SG I copied had different specs than anything else....I would need to correct a few things. The neck pocket is probably the main fix.

I just inherited a bunch of wood tools, and have been debating if I want to take on a project like this.

Although not as much quirkiness as Hackmaster's creations, Dirty Girl does have some quirkiness to her. She features a Lotus body, Samick Lefty (turned upside down) neck, custom Wav-made pick guard, neck and middle single coil pickups from a Gibson SG3, aged brass hardware including the distinguishing trademark Mud Flap Lady "Dirty Girl" on the head stock.
