Hi kids! Just a question...
My friend of 5 er so years has been playing drums on my (and 3 of the bass player's songs) stuff. He hasn't talked to me or Graeme in at least 6 months. It really irks me that I spent 5 + years with a guy who really helped with the arranging of the songs but is not willing to record even if I pay. He won't talk to me. Ahem... WTF???

He's a nice guy but... He doesn't have issues, he has a lifetime subscription...

Nope. The investment is as much yours as it is his.
 
Thanks Don. Just feeling a bit old. I never expected to be a rock star but I would like to record the songs I've got so I can write more.

I can't move on until the songs I've got so far can be documented.

I'm the youngest in the trio I play (ed) with.
 
I appear to be getting antsy . I haven't plugged in a electric guitar in 2 months. I own 1 acoustic( which I have played lots in the last few months) but have not plugged in in at least 2 months. I HAVE 6 ELECTRIC guitars at my disposal. GRR!!!...​
 
Let him know if he doesn't record them with you another drummer will - then run with which ever way it pans out. One of the biggest pains in the butt about bands is the song and dance of members within the band...

Is your first name “Richard?” If so, then perhaps...well...you know...!

Otherwise, all you can do is give him the opportunity and let him know you’d like to know if he’s interested. Tell him you’d like to know by a certain time, say a couple of weeks. If he turns you down or ignores you, at least you’ve done your part to reach out to him.
 
MIGHT I suggest making this offer via---text---or email--- that way when you record those songs and they become international sensation and your rich and famous that douche nozzle cant come back and sue you ;)

Anyways, and pardon my confusion, but your drummer buddy won't contact you and you can't record because:
1: You need a drummer to be there?
Or
2: He has some copyright issues with the songs you want to record?

No copyright stuff.I just really liked what he did with mine and the bass player's songs. He's a nice guy but he seems to be avoiding us. Oh well. Guess I'll start putting the feelers out.

Just disappointing to invest all that time to have to start over again.

C'est la vie.

That's a bummer.

It's always nice when you hook up with the right people, and get a nice vibe and chemistry going. But, a total buzzkill when the unexplainable happens... :BH:
