What's the color on this one called?

Thank you! You know, there are some people who do not care about the adjustment on pickups at all, as crazy as that sounds. I have heard they sell pickups that are not adjustable at all!! Who would have thought?

I couldn't make it with non-adjustable pickups. I hear such tremendous sonic deviation in moving pole pieces and pickup height that I'm addicted to being able to fine tune my tonal spectrum.

Yes Robert. I didn't do it My car and LP Custom were stolen in 1977 lost a 1965 Fender Deluxe amp. My stepfather was the in the Sheriff's department called me up in 1985 do you still have
that Black Les Paul Custom No we found it. they changed the bridge also. I will restore it some day it's a one piece body and neck from the 1950's it has a huge fat neck on it.

I'm very particular about height adjustment on pick ups and they sure do have an effect on how your pick ups will sound. I usually press the high "E" on the highest fret and measure 1/16" between the top of the pick up and the bottom of the string. I do the same thing with the low "E" string but I measure on the bass side 1/8" a bit lower compared to the treble side since the wound strings are more louder. Then I plug the guitar into an amp and I tweak the adjustments until everything is satisfactory. That's how I do a general set up of all pick ups.

The Gibson 'shop checklist shows it as Iced Tea. I recently posted a pic of it in a "show us your iced tea" thread on a Les Paul forum & was asked "sure that isn't "tea burst". I had to check the check list to be sure, though I suppose they could'a wrote the wrong thing. Cheers
Edit: Damn plexi, that's some nice instrument you have there. Cheers
