So, eSGEe, have you played a guitar through that Kustom bass amp?

I’d be curious about the outcome of that little test.

NO --- it is ONLY FOR BASS ........no 6 string sacraleage shall occur on MY WATCH !!!!!!

(actually it sounds AWESOME!!!!! AND you can get some VERY good "chug" for metal....this is a "percussive" amp for sure

Congrats on a very special piece.
That is something to be excited about!

Glad the clean up worked out well.

HOW does one make an OLD KUSTOM 150 watt amp better????????

I want that flashlight.

rechargeable ryobi-- came in a KIT with Drill---circular saw and sawsall charger and an extra battery---I bought 2 more back up batteries --- we go through some JUICE here on the farm

how do you rate the overall ryobi quality for home DIY use? I had a driver drill that was disappointing, but that was at least 10-12 years old
The small table saw is ok for what it is.

I think the Dewalt consumer stuff at Home Depot or whatever has gone downhill too.
i have an 18v driver / hammer drill that is starting to shoot sparks out of the motor.
Brushes probably, it has some hours of use on it but not a ton.

I would assume insulation would muffle the sound. Is that the point? Is it a bass amp thing?
It’s a speaker enclosure design thing...to fine tune the airspace inside the cab, and keep any structural noise to a minimum. Lots of old hifi speakers were/are similarly insulated. My giant Cerwin Vega speakers are. I’m pretty sure my JBL 2115 PA speakers are as well...along with the 18” sub boxes they sit on.

Also found this available here in my neck of the woods

Planning to join the collective Wav?

...and see...in the pictures...they used to spray the insulation black in the early days. I think they found a source of dark colored insulation at some point.

I don't think any new gear is in the budget. I'm still trying to find room in the budget to replace my car. I was scoping these out for eSGEe

YEs---its a baffle ---vibration issue--- this thing MOVES AIR and pounds the pavement so to speak --- I rattled several things OFF the shelves last evening and I was on 2 Vol level
IT is a BASS amp Ray--though it has a HIGH in and a :Bright" setting -=---guitars go well with the BRIGHT on and the high input used....

unless you want to play doom metal---like MISFITS type stuff.........and you go low --- and low and run an overdrive----- and WOW ------
