Ok!!! Now the boys can post on their own.

So, according to my Uncle - a Mormon by faith and a Geneologist - The Herndon's came from the Normandy region of France with the Norman Conquest, eventually settling in Bedforshire, England. At some point, a group of ancestors moved into Lanarkshire Scotland, and another group moved into Prussia. I was told the portion of the family that moved into Prussia added the "Von" prefix to the name.

Marc's real middle name is "Von," on all his official documents, in honour of this historic part of our family's past - and it was the name I chose for my custom guitars.
