Tire Shopping

Pirellis are what I always ran when I had double deuces. I would get them from Discount Tire but I know they are called something different in California.

Yep!

I used Nankang last time because the treadwear rating was 500 to the Pirelli's 320!!!!

Nope. I would never buy a car with an automatic. I find shifting quite entertaining!

I used to feel that way, then my wife bought a car with a PDK gearbox and damn if it didn't change my mind. The thing so seamlessly lays down power that I find it very entertaining - it's the same sense of power that you get in an airplane taking off, no interruption of the torque from engaging the clutch (and ultimately quicker to boot).

My Gallardo had the paddle shift and I hated it so much that I sold it...I have gotten good at timing my shifts where each shift is a seamless burst of acceleration...

The paddles are kind of pointless IMO and I never use them when I drive her car. Just let he gearbox do its thing and its faster and better than any human could ever shift, either with the paddles or especially the clutch. That PDK is one of the best pieces of engineering I have ever experienced.

It's quite an engineering feat!!!
