When Re-Wiring an Electric Guitar

A way to test your wiring without putting strings on the guitar is to hold a vibrating tuning fork over the pick-ups. I did this alot when doing custom wiring jobs for customers in J'ville.

I am sure some of you already knew this, just a tip for the less experienced in our lil family here.

No choice there. One touch on a pickup and anything steel is magnetised.

Guitar picks made out of fossilized Brontosaurus bone are going to make the taps sound brighter with a snappier attack. Screwdrivers with a wooden handle create a much warmer tap than those plastic and rubber handled screwdrivers...

Exactly. I spent all my money on the pick. All I can afford is a Toys r us guitar: a First Act Strat. But it sounds slightly better than a normal First Act Strat.
