As a born Damn Yankee ---who was a multiple Peavey owner from the get go......mostly AMPS at first ...so many amps- My Son still has my Peavey KB100 bass amp.
I have owned numerous T- series -- Patriots-- Trans Tubes, Royal 8 , Rage, Bandit,....so many blue lines.......I fell in LOVE with these Southern Made guitars and amps.......I cant say its WHY I moved south of the Mason Dixon line in 1987 (and have never been back) but they sure didnt hurt!!!

Presently 2 in the house

I'm a Peavey fan too!
I have an older Predator, and it plays GREAT! As good as any USA Strat I've played. I'm actually gonna sell it though, just so I can find a black one!

DO IT----- the cost compared to the quality ---- you cant beat it.

The 1987 T-15 above has original pots.....switch....pups....tuners......all original--- no scratchy --- no issues ---neckas are made like a rock --- set it and forget it ---- the pups are unlike any others.......

no issues even the AMP in the case works flawlessly this stuff is almost 30 years old

I'm having trouble with pics man....
Trade? No way! Not unless you got a black one you wanna part with! And you mentioned rock solid necks. You got that right! I left this one on the boat once for 3 months, extreme temp changes, constant vibration, it was in PERFECT tune when I came back! Unreal!

I have a Peavey JF-1 which is just dandy. The pups sound darker on it but it rocks. Articulate sounding with great tone and action. I set it up myself. It was very strangely set up when I got it new out of the box. I got an Epi hard case for it because Peavey did not have a decent hard case they made for it. It looks like an ES-335 with a smaller funkier head stock. I set the pups up to Gibson humbucker specs and it works cherry!

I own a Peavey Minx 110 bass amplifier and it is one the best sounding bass amps that I ever played through. I used to play bass guitar in a band back in the early '90's and my friend lent me his bass guitar and amp which was a Minx 110. It responded well to all the shows I performed at. When I saw one in a pawn shop a few years back, I bought it right away because I knew it was a good sounding amp. Now all I need is a bass guitar!;)

That is a really nice T-40.

Now, before you go any further, I'll need you to do the following:

1. Raise your right hand.

2. Repeat after me:

"I, Adrian, aka eSG, aka eSGEe, solemnly swear that if I should acquire a Peavey T-40 bass guitar, I will retain ownership of the instrument. I will not flip it in some hasty, Ferengi-inspired scheme for a mere profit. I will play it and love it and cherish it. These things I swear, so help me, Hartley."
