Do those Clydesdales go around and around?

Yes they do. One of my roommates in college took me to his granddads bar in NJ back in 1975. It had the honor of being the “longest bar” in the state. The building was about 1 room wide, but the bar was 110 feet long. He had one of these bar lights. I thought it was farking cool. Fast forward and when I was outfitting the game room I looked for one. Most were used, from bars, and were smoke ridden. I finally found one new in the box, something like 35 years old. I did buy it now.

Here's a google image of the same exact guitar I have...a Hagstrom Viking Deluxe with a Tremar vibrato...and in BLACK of course. The fret board is a wood composite called a resonator board that looks and feels like ebony but is more dense and consistent. It's a take on Gibson's ES-335 semi-hollow body guitar. The neck feels great and the stock pick ups sound rich & clear...no need for a pick up swap. I believe the nut is graphite and the tuners look very art deco. It's a great pleasure to play on this masterpiece and very inspiring and plays extremely well. It's one of my favourite go-to guitars for sure. It's very well made and solid.

I don't know exactly what my 1959 Silvertone/Danelectro U-1 is. The entire guitar is hollow. Its made of a framework with a front and back panel. The inside of the body looks like the back of an old piece of wood paneling...

Mine is on the bench undergoing bone nut surgery.
Just dialing in the height; probably finish this afternoon.
I have blanks but punked out and bought a slotted one.
Took a considerable amount of sanding to match the slot width.

Hate the slow fitting process.
