Uncool Guitarists:

NOBODY beats this performance - Period. Best live tone. Phenomenal guitar work.

I respectfully submit that Gary Moore beats it. With Thin Lizzy.

He's truly one of my favorite guitar players, but all that "blues styling" stuff he did is hard for me to listen to, and it just doesn't seem to add anything new to the well established mix. With Lynott/Lizzy he was making something exciting and original. When he teamed up with Lizzy they were a devastating hard rock band.

I've shared the stage with many national and international bands in my career, but in my book one guy stands out..... Uriha Heep's guitarist Mick Box. We opened for them in the early 2000's, Heep rented most of their back line and Mick was running around cussing and swearing because his Marshall heads showed up, but no cab's, so I went over and introduced myself and told him, "no worries, I have a pair of Hiwatt cab's you can use". He just looked at me for a few second's and then said, "Piss off, I don't need your bloody fu*king cabinets". I was like wow, what an a hole, so I said, well, if you do need them. they're $100.00 bucks each. His cabs eventually showed up and their show still sucked.....Karma.

I never knew that Mick Box was such a nice guy... That's definitely "Poster Child" material for assholishnism...
