Now this I like ALOT!!

Squirrel was in the rehab phase --- after being bottle fed by the misses--- he was brought to us after a very bad storm and the nest had been destroyed the property owner found him and brought him to Shannon for "saving" --- she did and he was scuttling around the house for some time after regaining full health--- he has been released to the wild now--- the Chibson is fine--- I got a good story (I bet no one else has a squirrel gnawed fake Gibson) and life on the farm continues.....

Dislike both colour options and prefer rosewood or ebony fingerboards.
If those stumbling blocks were removed I'd buy one.
Actually I had a conversation about such two weeks ago with my son, possible purchase, almost, pass :-(

I get emails from a place called Stratosphere and they sell Fender parts. I thing they buy blem, seconds, and overruns and strip to sell as parts.
I like the BURST model and your right a rosewood or ebony neck would look great. I do prefer ebony.

I actually prefer maple on strats & teles. I do have a Squier strat with rosewood & it is a fine playing & sounding guitar, but for my USA strat & Tele I chose maple boarded guitars. No real reason for it, I just prefer maple on Fenders. Cheers
I always prefer maple. It is a dense, durable, stable wood which can be maintained unfinished, partly finished or sealed. It is very easy to work with. It is sustainable. It can have a great grain, like flame or quilt, but generally looks good. Maple....at lumbar yard near you.
