I have Journey's first 4 albums on those Frisbee looking things. Once Steve Perry joined Journey on the 4th album, I got disinterested in them. Not knocking Steve Perry... the guy has got a great voice. In fact, Journey became very commercially successful with Mr Perry. But gone was that moody, edgy, progressive rock that I was enjoying from the first 3 albums. Oh well...

Yup. The girls still do. A few years ago, me and a couple of friends went old-folks bar-hopping after checking out Dick Dale, who was performing at one of the big main popular bars at that local college town... San Luis Obispo. So at these bars, 90% were college kids. Besides feeling a little out of place at these bars, I was able to see a lot of people having fun, and remembering the music that was being played. I remember the moment when Journey's "Who's Crying Now" starts blasting thru the speakers... Most of the young ladies just lit up, and started singing along word for word, they looked like they were floating in a cloud! Steve Perry has got the power, even though the song was released in 1981.I agree completely! They became a band for the girls at school to follow with Perry.
