Looking for a good source for snake oil.

Absolutely no reason it shouldn't. A very good argument could be made that it is a better solution since it's more repeatable and predictable - same reason they started using them in amplifiers. All the goofy voodoo out there about how capacitors and pots "sound" just drives me nuts. I know people say they hear a difference but let's be honest, if they do it's because they want to hear it. I'm no electronics engineer, but my dad was and I learned enough from him over the years to know that any perceived difference has only to do with variances/drift in rated component values, nothing more, and most definitely not anything to do with the construction. It's all pure BS and there is a whole cottage industry making money off this nonsense. Hell, most guitar players never turn the damn knobs anyway, just run everything wide open all the time, mooting the point entirely.

Now, you may prefer one capacitor value over another, or one pot taper over another, but those are separate matters.

Yes. I have a preference for everything...values, construction, taper...everything. I went through the "breakout box" testing with my old Strat, and tested every kind of capacitor I could find - even borrowing bumblebess from a Luthier friend - and those tests allowed me to find the ones I liked. after that, I just stuck with them. I don't experiment anymore...

When I was with "The Travellers," I was constantly changing my guitar and amp settings because the music was so diverse - Buffalo Springfield one minute, Yardbirds the next, Then Neil Young, Seegar, Elvis, etc. I really hated the experience and it's why I quit...

But I have to say, that my 2016 Gibson SG really proved itself as a guitar that could dandle all the adjustments in stride, and it never got muddy, even when rolling the neck pickup off all the way...

That's why I like my Godin Core CT for the same reasoning you mention here.

Looks like mine . . . oh yeah thats right it is like mind.

My beloved LP Jr.....has this......

and it sounds fooking AMAZING

That's unusual. The original ceramics must have been substituted somewhere along the line I guess? Does it still have the Faraday shield?

Yep. It has an ashtray around the switch and a bigger, oblong ashtray around the controls, plus a "garbage can" around the input jack. It's never left that studio as far as we can remember...I'll PM you a shot of the serial...

I sold off all the PCB's I end up with...
this is only my second---the first had issues----- this one has worked flawlessly from day one--- the sensativity of the knobs is stellar--- the guitar sounds great ---Ill rock it till it drops ---then slap some old school orange cap or bumbble beast or what have you in it

--edit-- I have had SEVERAL active basses--- with PCB boards--- Dean.....Ibanez.....Hadean....those too all worked well....and as I dont really disassemble every guitar I get and flip or keep for that matter there MAYBE another 1 or two lying about with a PCB in it.....wonder whats in the vox ........hhmmmm..............

anyway--- no issues with the others just the GIBBO SG tribute one

On the 12 string side of he EDS-1275, the strings break at a sharp angle sideways, due to the paddle width....
