Are you Meticulous with your gear

I have to say I am. I have always been that way with everything that I have, must of learned it from my parents. I treat my gear with respect it. Worked hard to have the money to be able to buy it so I figure I better look after it. Some might think by looking at my gear it doesn't get used, but I can assure you it does. It keeps me busy cleaning and storing my gear, cause I'm always moving it around and taking out and bringing back into my home. And I like everything organized, so I know where it is at all times, when I need something it is there right where I know it should be. Does anyone else have this disease.

I don't have much space at my new place to store all of my guitars which is a lot. I have to thin out the herd and start organizing all my things so I know where to find something when I need it. Most of my guitars are at my sister-in-law's place and she lives in the same city as me. I have 2 of my 20 guitars at my place now. My 2006 Epiphone Les Paul Standard in black which plays pretty amazing after a real good set up. I treat it with a lot of respect because it's one of my go-to guitars. Also at home I have my 1998 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in a very deep metallic Bordeaux purple which almost looks black. It's another great player and my dream guitar. I've done a simple mod on it by installing a neck-on switch so that I get 7 pick up positions instead of 5. The bridge & neck pup position is out of phase and sounds really cool. Having all 3 pick ups on at once sounds super quaky and has a sparkling tone to it...I'm really digging the extra sounds. I really need to pick up my Gibson SG soon because I miss it very much! I've had it a very long time now and it's just the perfect guitar for me. I really love the upper fret access on it compared to some other guitars.

Yes...

1987 Squire owned since new. It's been leveled and crowned 3 or 4 times and heavily gigged, but its not beat up, other than the paint wearing through in a few spots...

I made that strap in 1979 and still use it.

1997 Marshall Valvestate VS265 2X12 Stereo Chorus Combo bought new in 1997.

Many years of gigging on this one!!!

I used to own a Marshall ValveState 80V a long time ago. It was a great amp but I traded it in for my Fender Twin Reverb amp which I still had to pay over $1,000 after the trade in.

Probably not as good as I should. My guitars get cleaned when I change strings. I have my electrics in stands so I can play them at a moments notice. They sit well out of any traffic pattern in our loft and I have a couple pretty decent stands. The only guitar I get seriously OCD about is my Ovation acoustic. Bought it new in ‘74. If it’s not in my hands it’s in it’s locked case.
