I have watched this video a couple of times and he has a great collection. You can pick out just one of his guitars and it would be one I have only dreamed about. I'm not a huge fan of his music but he is brilliant........
Joe B is the Nerd in all of us. I'm glad he shares his related nerdiness with anybody. I think I just heard Joe B use profanity for the first time. I think he is finally maturing... :dood:
I like it when he says "This is what happens when addiction coupled with a modicum of success in the music business meets, and there is no authority figure to say "no!" and "please stop!".
I really enjoyed that video. Thanks a lot, Adrian for posting this.
My favorite part is where he says he says, "As far as guitar-wise, I either love them mint...or I love the turds." He shows a real appreciation for guitars that have really been played. He recognizes that a guitar that has been played hard probably sounds really good because it wouldn't be played so much if it didn't sound good.
He also seems to know his stuff. I didn't realize how much he has been immersed in guitar gear literally his whole life. I mean, I knew he started playing when he was really young, but I didn't know how embedded he has been in all things guitar.
That "Guitar Safari" thing is sounds like a load of fun!
Today three current members of this form and one former are doing a MOTM .and guitar safari....ish...run to Replay Music in Tampa FL. After lunch at a proper (as close as we can get anyway) Irish Pub lunch.
Should be fun
More tire kicking than a true safari as Joe always seemed to Buy something on his hunts...we are just going to fondle expensive gear
