He probably had to take them to a shrink to make them playable.YOu changed the two from the swamp a GOOD BIT![]()
I know how to jack a thread. Master Binary, I think I've stared at this too long. Need how to post a picture and this is the only way I know how to catch you. I know which guitar.I try to change them around a bit after acquiring them from a different home. There is only 1 stock guitar in that picture. Care to guess which one?
Wow! What brand?Like many here, I love P90's.
I have them in a couple of guitars.
This pic is just a little FYI, but it's what's inside of one makers humbucker size "P90".

Clearly a Strat / Tele pickup in a wax tomb.
It sounded OK, but it's a far cry from a P90...

The great Epiphone Casino P90s inspired me to really look into P90 pickups. I put a set of Bare Knuckles in my Les Paul Standard. I loved it before when I did the Peter Green tone with a neck pup out of phase. I play that for years and for the stuff that we were doing a single coil works but the range was lacking with my Strat. The P90s have the range and that tone I wanted.I have seen that and also a tele bridge type under the cover as well.
They probably just overwind the crap out of them with larger gauge wire to keep the DCR down around 8k, but thats just a guess.
Yes, a real P90 is constructed much differently than a strat single coil.
P90 have 2 bar magnets side by side with a spacer between, with the fields opposing, underneath the bobbin / winding.
Strat singles the poles are the magnets or the cheap ones have a bar magnet glued to the bottom of the row of poles.[/Q
Oooops. Thank you. THAT I understand.

Know anybody wants to buy a Chinese Squier Strat????I have seen that and also a tele bridge type under the cover as well.

So, are Epi LP Special I P90s crap, like the tuners and pots. Superglued one cover on. Pissed me off. Special II has bucker and Probucker 650.700 I think. And Grover turners. What else?I have seen that and also a tele bridge type under the cover as well.

P90 insanity can get out of control in no time. This my third go at it and now I have no goal in mind. Are those .45s? How do you know it's wrecked? Could have new sound. Besides, I know those stickers look really real. Had some on my '77 Bronco. Freaked my ole man. But he was a dumbass.View attachment 10647 View attachment 10646 P90 insanity can get out of control in no time. This my third go at it and now I have no goal in mind.
The last two times at least I wanted to go for a weird sound. This time it's just change for the sake of change. See I just justified my behavior, we can go with out lots of things. Try to get through a day with out a justification. Making your being here is job one for most. Most of my big changes are because I was sick of the way it was. Too much Strat tone and Gibson P94s sitting in my pickup drawer. I'm happy with my P90 moves so far, the Casino and the P90 loaded Strat. I wonder how bad I will hate myself after I am done wrecking my favorite Les Paul?
