Well, I probably won't, since I don't know what they are.Dont know ----just dont get Dog Ear P90's you'll never hear the end of it......
see aboveI do like my P90 equipped guitars. Wether they are humbucker sized, or not, I’ve been happy with them. Do they all sound the same/are they made the same? No. I have two P90(Gibson soap bar) loaded SGs, a year apart in age, and they sound different from each other.
The two guitars in my sig pic have humbucker sized p90s in neck position. They sound p90ish enough for me.(enough for me to have acquired the second one)
A P93? Isn’t that a 3 dog eared p90 equipped Epiphone Sheridan?

I had one guitar with P-94's. It didn't last long. They sound nothing like a P-90. The dummy coil takes the bite out of the tone, and IMO you'd be better off with a regular humbucker.
Aaaaah....”the dummy coil”....my humbucker sized P-90 pickups don’t have those. Mine are Manlius Fat Goats(Fat Goat HB/P90), wound to match with their humbucker counterparts. They hum just like all my other P-90 pickups. They get a little hairy too.
I'm pretty happy with the set of Seymour Duncan Phat Cats (humbucker sized P90s) I have in my Epiphone Dot. Nice and crisp sounding. I haven't a/b-ed it with any comparable P90 equipped guitar, but they are definitely close enough for rock 'n' roll.
My LP has P-90s, and I love it. They're black and look like buckers, but I was wondering what was inside P-93s. I was told it was 3 single coils. If there are P93 pickups, thats not the common P90 vs humbucker sized P90.
By definition from Gibson - the P94 is a single coil similar to a P90 but in a humbucker sized package.
A P90 is slightly longer and narrower than a Humbucker; they wont fit in the same pickup route / cutout in the guitar.
A dog ear P90 is surface mounted and not easily adjustable for height; it has little brackets on the ends but can be shimmed.
A soapbar P90 is just the rectangular pickup and cover with screws that pass through it (small holes between A -D and G-B strings) allowing for easy height adjustment.

You want a good "P90 sound" sample?
The Who, Live at Leeds is considered a choice specimen.
Love that record.
I dig P90s too, (and single coils and humbuckers, others too).
MINE don't WOOF !! Unless I say "Hush", but I never do. Mastiff.Everyone always says the h'bucker sized P-90's don't sound the same but I have heard a few that do.
Yeah, I don't really like the looks of the dog ears or the soap boxes. Thanks for the pics and education. That's what I'm here for. That and to fk with Black. My LP has P-90s, and I love it. They're black and look like buckers, but I was wondering what was inside P-93s. I was told it was 3 single coils.
I replied in the wrong place. SOP. It's up there by gball.I have a GFS Mean 90 that sounds more P90 than hb, but it does sound different than my other P90s, which sound different from each other as well.
Just as different hb sound from each other.
More Snarl and Growl than Woof Woof when provoked.
