We have some liquid sunshine here on the gold coast today. Been cloudy and gloomy the past few days. I went to my longest, oldest friend's memorial Saturday. I miss the good old days, my friends and family that have passed. I got the blues (and grays with the clouds) and wish I had the chops to lay it all out in music.
 
Thanks Chas, I'm just barely getting started with the lyrics... got a long way to go. :confused:
 
My best friend from high school is gone. Most of my friends are. There is nobody to take 60 mile drives with me to go to obscure guitar stores, or to argue about different guitars. I miss that.

My best friend from H.S. lives in PA and I am in AZ. We talk every couple of months. We traveled to guitar stores all the time back in the day. Although he is still around, I too miss the road trips also. We have not seen each other since 1973. His life and mine went very different directions. Him and my wife are my only friends from H.S.

Plus you made me double check the meaning of catharsis to be sure I understood what you meant. Thanks for the assistance with my vocabulary.
 
I have two good friends I see regularly that I've known over 60 years.
Have four from my first year at work 1967/8.
About ten from my 20's association from motorcycle industry & racing.
Then add family.
I know I'm lucky but I long for solitude. Just can't get any personal time :-(
The problem is I never moved away from my home town.

I understood what you meant. It is all good.
Sometimes reading what people say versus being face to face with them makes it a bit harder to understand what it is that is truly being said.
Especially if the people had never meet face to face.
