I saw a couple of used amps at a Guitar Sinner on Friday.

One was a huge old Gibson 2X12 Combo. Absolutely huge!!!

The other was a Fender 2X12 Combo, dual inputs with a gain knob on the far right and 4 or 5 frequency (EQ) knobs with bands marked by numeric frequency.

I'm not interested in them, but thought perhaps someone here might be.

I will try to snap photos later...

Can you identify from this description???

Was the Gibson a Lab Series L5?

When I was there (just to get strings) a guy was rolling out the door with a Gibson 4x10 combo.

Mom had one years ago, but don't recall the model...

The Fender sounds like it was a Super Twin Reverb.
5 band rotary EQ.

I'd buy the Gibson Invader in a heartbeat. It is supposed to be a great amp, considered to be a bit of a holy grail for steel guitar players.

I think it comes with a 10" and a 12" speaker, not two 12"s. The Gibson GA-30RVT Invader is a two-channel 25W amp, made from 1962 to 1967. The 1962 version came with eight tubes and had one tone control for each channel, but from late 1963 both channels had separate bass/mid/treble controls and the amp had nine tubes. It is rated at 25 watts.

Run out and buy it right now and give it to me.
