Somebody is smoking some serious CRACK !!!

Sorry I wont be one of them.

But it's not made for you. Or me. Or likely anyone that regularly posts on these boards. But, there is a subset of the guitar-buying public that will be all over these and Gibson has been catering to them for quite some time now.

We all probably have an upper-limit of what we are willing to spend on a guitar, I know I do and I have only hit it once, but for a lot of hobbyists and collectors (the ones that have both the scratch and the desire) it seems to be more about the exclusivity than the functionality. And Gibson is not the only maker to tap into that - have you seen the prices that Fender is charging for Custom Shop guitars? Bolt-neck guitars?

Yes true there is those who are collectors of Gibson and Fender guitars. I am not one of them, I have the scratch to buy one of those axes, but for me there is no guitar that is worth 6 Grand. For me my limit is $1500 tops you can buy a Quality guitar for this kind of cash and in so saying you can buy a very good guitar for $600 I'm talking new. I am not knocking these individuals who are collectors that's their thing. My personal opinion of Gibson and Fender guitars is that they are over rated. They build descent guitars but for me are priced to high. There are other guitars on the market that are just as good for less money. I don't care about resale value, I buy my guitars to play.
