6k.....for a head?

TBTH I have only played the Miras UNplugged at music shops --- Like when Smitty and I made a run on George's Music in Orlando--- and everytime I play/fondle one I am impressed by how i FEEL the strings vibrate through the wood more than say an SE ....

Are all the Miras Made in USA or is the S2 an overseas option

I have a Mira too. It's the only one of the PRS' I have owned that stayed. All the others were built beautifully but felt somehow sterile. I think a lot of that has to do with the stock pickups. My Mira has had 4 sets in it until I found the right match for it, but now it's not going anywhere, definite keeper.
And what was the right match? Please tell... :fingersx:

BTW, I always felt that if you can pickup any guitar (and I mean ANY!) and it resonates acoustically like crazy, but it doesn't have a vibe electrically, then it's only a matter of having the right pickups for musical nirvana... :hmmm:

The first time I ever saw a Mira, the first thing I thought was
**Paul is going after the SG players with this one**

I have 2 Mira S2s, a solid one and a semi hollow one.
The bodies and necks are made in Maryland.
The hardware is the same as on the core guitars.
The electronics are from SE Asia somewhere.
They weren't a lot of money and I was planning to put
"real" pickups in them after I played them a while.
Guess what.
They both still have the SE Asian pickups in them.
Absolutely no reason to replace them.

I will say this though.
The blade switch on the solid one went after about 6 months.
15 mins with a soldering iron to put in a Switchcraft blade.
No big deal at all.
So when I got the semi hollow, I immediately replaced the switch,
before it broke.
Except for the new switches, both are and will stay completely stock.
Probably...

The T shirts probably cost more than $5. And What T shirts?

Early on in the forum, a bunch of us had the idea for T-shirts. @eSGEe ran the figures for us and came up with the minimum number of commitments he'd need to make it worthwhile to make a run of them. I don't recall the price. But, yes, it was over $5.00. Anyhoo, not enough people committed to shirts. I don't recall exactly, but I think I was on board for two shirts and a coffee mug...if coffee mugs would ever be made.

All S2’s are Maryland made.

Right match is a set of Jonesy Blues PAF clones. I think they are in the mid 7’s. Had to lose the coil split and so I put in some Gibson Historic (CTS) pots. Great setup.

Tried some DiMarzios, some SD’s and the stock PuPs before settling on these.

I own a real Dumble HRM-100 and most of the amps I build kills it. My better half gave it to me as a gift. That said I'm sure I could fix the PRS amp
