See now...why you gotta do that?

I never really wanted a Flying V before. I mean, I've flirted with the idea, but now....

...why you gotta do that!

Get regular Korina V Smitty --- or get a KIT and build one for 1/4 th the price --- dont give in to Joes Peer PRessure--- he is a GAS master of epic proportion ----

I've never been much on the signature models and I never "dug" anything Van Halen did. But, I met Ed a couple times at Grover Jackson's garage (when Grover was still with Wayne) and I remember him scouring "junk" for his guitar. Ed literally changed the world...not with a Gibson or a Fender, but a hodge-podge of mostly imported parts....Think about that.

Yeah. A regular Korina is more to my interest. I'm not big on signature models. I mean, I've seen korina V's over and over without a second glance. For some reason, this just caught my eye. It looks surprisingly bluesy...not a "metal axe" look at all.

Wow...I just read the specs and they didn't even bother to put Gibson pickups in this one...

That is just a crap idea right there. Most Epiphone customs for this price come loaded with
USA made Gibson pickups and not Chinese mass produced poorly made sets...

Eddie plays a mean Flying V in «Hot For Teacher»!

I'd have to guess that these are what Joe B picked for it. He actually seems to be quite involved in the development of his signature models.

As for the guitar? I'd hit it, but not at anything like $900.

Well, I guess if it’s a good guitar, it’s a good guitar. Regardless of the name.

Perhaps, but I can get into a used Gibson for $900 and know that it's going to hold value much better. An in all honesty, while I have owned and played plenty of decent Epiphones I have never found one of the fabled "Gibson-killers" that the internet keeps telling me about.

I like it. From what I see and read on paper, it looks promising. Sure, $900 for a solid body Epi is a WTF moment, but if the guitar feels and sounds great, and finishing details are spot on, then the price becomes more rational.

Hmmm... Is limited time subject to change?
