DST blows

Just an observation...we WERE on daylight savings time until a day ago. We are now on standard time, not daylight savings time.

So, it seems what is really disliked is not daylight savings time, but standard time, because night time now comes at an earlier time on the clock.

That's really funny :-) Come on eSGEe get your excrement together.
We down in NSW Australia have recently switched over to "summer time".
I don't really care what time it is but the two weeks after starting and stopping DST is a pain in the excrement hole.

I don't let it bother me. I go on doing stuff at the same actual time all year - the only change is that the clock says something different while I'm doing it in summer or winter.

My dog is with you.
Fed same real time each evening but the clock can be an hour out.

Giant space mirrors could be used to extend daylight hours. That's the answer! It would only cost a couple of zillion dollars. It would be worth it.

More solar energy poured on the earth would not be great for global warming.

Forgot all about it. I set my alarm for 6:00 AM. I had a busy Sunday morning scheduled. I had an hour and a half drive to the big smoke to deliver an amp I had sold on Craig's List then I was going to the Vancouver Guitar Show which opened at 10:00 AM. I was two mouthfuls into my first cup of coffee when I noticed the time on my computer said 5:15 not 6:15.

I felt like I was late to work with the sun being up already. I'm used to total darkness when i arrive to work.

Oh, I don't want more daylight hours than we naturally have.

Actually, I changed my mind. I think we should just settle on standard time and just permanently shift normal working hours an hour earlier.

The shifting daylight hours throughout the seasons are fine by me. That's been the norm for, well, as long as the earth has been here. No need for people to tinker with it.

Easy solution for all this.
Works for me anyway.
Sleep when you're sleepy.
Eat when you're hungry.
Be where you say you'll be
when you said you'd be there.
It doesn't matter what time it is.
