So, 16 guitarists get together and go for it. Some of the reactions are priceless.

My favorite two is Mick with the Strat, and Glen/Flying V/rocking some Judas Priest.

The Gearmandude shows up, too. I always wondered what he looked like!

That Pete Thorn signature Suhr guitar really sounds nice.
I may be taking a serious look at one of those soon.

Funny thing is...it kind of sounds like crap. Probably the lousy mics they used, and I am sure the physical presence of it being in the room is awesome, but the tone signature of that thing wide-open is not very pleasing to me.

Aaaand...because I'm the kind of guy that thinks if it's worth doing...it's worth overdoing....

....here's another Plexi video:

(BTW, these videos sound better through decent headphones than just through computer speakers.)

I loved my SLP...but I couldn't move it around anymore. I never did have to run it flat out to get good tones out of it.

In all honesty, my JTM30 Combo was every bit as good, although it did lack the tone you get from (8) 12" speakers.

If you line out my DSL40C to an external cabinet, it gives very good tones...

Best thing about a DSL40C - it fits in the trunk of my 2006 Mustang.

I had a JTM-30 for a while! Was probably my favorite-sounding Marshall that I ever owned, but mine was one of the ones prone to overheating (a well-known problem with that model - blew fuses all the time) and It drove me nuts so I sold it.

Same with my old JTM-30. I even tried running a fan on it to keep it cool....when it did work, it was magical...NOTHING has ever sounded better on a recording.

Which means, if we apply your rules, it's only marginally louder than my 40 watt....I will say this...In May of 2017, I auditioned for a L.A. band called Soloman Grundy and their guitarist had a 1/2 stack / plexi head and I was able to match his volume with my 40 watt DSL40C...which really surprised me....
