Checked one out & was surprised. I don't know why but I thought the Pro series (Indonesian) would be kinda meh. Anyway I liked this one enough that it made its way home with me.WP_20161220_003.jpg WP_20161220_004.jpg
Mahogany body, maple through neck, ebony fret board, Duncan SH-6 distortion mayhem pickups. The hand rubbed & oiled neck is sleek as, & fast. The speed profile is slimmer than my slim taper 60's tribute SG neck. Sounds monstrous straight into my 4 stage (Caswell #39 mod) 50 watt Marshall clone. Cheers

Thanks guys. Not really RVA, a bit of tapping, & I been getting into large stretches (breaking outta the cage). Couple of Ozzy songs etc. That was the idea getting this, to get into a bit of shred. Cheers

WOW----- just friggin WOW---- that is GORGEOUS! ---- now I have gas---thanks Ivan-----

Ive never owned a Jackson.......or a Charvel........damn it Ivan....

Well, now.

There is a way to remedy that.

There's this wondrous place on the interwebs called, "Sweetwater." Maybe you've heard of 'em.

Anyhoo, they have Jacksons a-plenty for pretty reasonable prices.

C'mon...join the ranks of the sharp, drooped headstock!

Thanks guys. I agree with Smitty-p, go & grab yourself one eSGEe & jtcnj. They play very well. I asked for a "medium" set up & the neck is virtually flat (virtually no discernable relief) & string height at the 12th is about 1.5mm without any buzzes. Within this model, dependent on color, there are 3 body wood types (alder, nato or mahogany) & 2 pickup types (SH-6/SH-6 or JB/59), plus the HSS variants. Ok, one more coffee (& cigarette that I need to STOP DOING) & I'm off to work on this weeks song, Rock n Roll Rebel. Cheers
Edit; as well as the driven tones, they also have really good clean tone. Cheers

I frequently play guitars at Guitar Sinner just to pass the time. Of ALL the guitars I have played, the Jacko's are the only ones perfectly intonated right out of the box...and with Floyd's too!!!!

Sweet. Why am I looking up Soloists?

Because they are insanely cool!

I don't have a Soloist. I have a Jackson Dinky with a bolt-on neck, but it still plays very nicely.

The Dinkys have a recessed heel. It is a little thinner than a Strat, and that little bit really does help with upper fret access. It is easier than my Stratocaster.

But, the neck-through Soloists are killer for reaching the upper frets.

Congrats, again, Ivan!

I really didn't have to touch anything. It had a new set of D'Adario 9-42 nickel wounds put on it with the set up (empty pack was in with the paperwork), so all I had to do was stretch the strings, rough tune, lock the nut locks & fine tune. Tremolo is level with the body & intonation is spot on (planet waves tru strobe tuner). Cheers

So should a new Gibson!!!!!!!!

Cool guitar. I have a soft spot for superstrats, they are just a blast to play. Had a BC Rich ST-III back in the mid-80's that was so killer (my main guitar was my LP, but it was the '80's man, and you needed a wang bar to play have the songs that were popular in the bars at the time)
