The title says all...it's a huge trend these days to have a cell phone. Myself I have an LG K4 which works pretty good and some apps can help pass time. But I see so many people glued to their phones as if they were technological slaves. At the bus stop, shopping malls, library, etc. They have to whip out there phones every 5 seconds to check for Facebook updates or text messages. Some people are like clueless zombies wondering around with their cell phones not paying attention on where they are going.
I see people like a couple walking in the mall both texting on their cell phones. Are they texting each other? I saw another fellow with two cell or smart phones in his hands texting on both. Some cell phones are getting pretty big now. I saw one guy at a sub sandwich shop who had a huge cell phone strapped to his side. It was like he had a 27 inch flat screen TV on him. Then there are people who love talking on the phones and letting the whole world know it like they are some important diplomat or something.
Have cell or smart phones made us into technological zombies? I think there is too much dependence on smart phones and it's turning our brains into mush. People have lost the art of conversation and turn their attention to smart phones to keep themselves entertained or something to that effect.
I personally don't bring my smart phone with me when I go out. I leave it at home and if someone calls then they can leave a message. I don't know how some people do it with texting with two thumbs super fast. I guess they are experts. I even saw a teenager on a skateboard texting on his phone. He must be a very good multi-tasker. What is your take on this ever growing phenomena?
