I do have an amp for this purpose, but it is not in the leauge with the Blackstar, Boss, Roland or Fender amps mentioned here.

I have a small battery powered Marshall amp for my bench as well. Very practical when messing with pickups, wiring and so on.

I don't need a good reason to acquire music related gear. I'm not a professional musician. I'm a guitar enthusiast and hobbyist. That's what I do... collect gear, play with my toys and yeah...try to make music.
 
I have 4 or 5 amps and a Line 6 pod 3X Live and I know I got the name wrong on the Line 6 thing that I run in to my PA system. I use it for acoustic guitars and either my Monoprice 15 watt or my 2 watt Vox night train. I don't have a specific job for any amp. I go with a mood thing when I pick amp or a work situation needs high volume. I might play out one or two nights a month. My 15 Monoprice is great and can stand up to a Vox AC 15 with power but not the bells and whistles. I can carry easy. My bigger amps are getting to hard to handle so I ask for help to carry them. I don't need all this stuff but I love it. Over 20 guitars, countless pedals and speaker cabs. I bought most over the last two years.
 
I own about 3 battery powered amps that run on 6 C cell batteries. I have 2 VOX DA-5 amps...one in black tolex and the other in white tolex covering. I also have a Line6 battery powered amp that sounds pretty darn good. They are very handy to have because you can do some street busking and make a little extra cash if you want to buy another guitar.:wink:

I will start. Although I already have a 20W Orange micro terror and a 7/15 switchable tube amp, I was thinking about getting a battery operated mini amp, like the Blackstar Fly 3 or Boss Katana Mini. However, I never play anywhere but my basement, so the battery option has little or no value. There are also other, larger amps in said basement. I have a Blackstar Fly 3 with A/C adapter. The clean channel is beautifully clean, the dirt gets nasty without waking the whole house. I give the Fly 3, two thumbs up! I have the stack and it can double as a powered set of stereo speakers great for out door gatherings.

That your game room? It's nice, indoor outdoor rugs really are a blessing. You got one of them beer things and a TV there? Nice view nice.

I have a 1987 Squire owned since 1988, a 2005 Schecter Hellraiser, owned since new, a 2016 Gibson SG, owned since new and my custom '1984' Ibanez Destroyer DT555.

All the Von Herndon guitars are already sold, so they just come across the bench for final setup and polish, they don't count against my guitar quota.

Once the Doubleneck is completed, I plan to move the SG (since I will essentially have one on the doubleneck) and the Hellraiser, so that will leave me with only three....
 
I like low power amps. They are a blast cranked and better with the the choice of pedals. I really need a 12" speaker. I probably won't know any big difference but knowing it's only has a 8" or even a 10" will cause a loss of interest.

Your 1987 Squier is close to the quality of a Stardard in this day and age. I had a few in the early 1970s and what a lovely instrument. I looked at one at GC and held my hand under it waiting for stuff to fall off. They were solid and played great right off the track. You were smart enough to hang on to yours.

They are cool! I cause the front jack to push the front in. The back got soggy too. Still worked great.
I got the 20 watt Gorilla and it was given away on one of my weak moments.
 
FullSizeRender.jpg I had to put a 12" speaker in my Black Star cab and I used a car speaker to put the left over 10"
speaker is. The one from the car came into my possession by way of a several strange events. The car 10" is the one I let people borrow. It must be bad mojo because it always is returned early.
