The wording is actually: Medicine Water Black". But translated into English its: Black Medicine Water.
The Lakota language appears backwards to English. But then again we Lakota think English is all messed up and backwards.... Such is life eh?

That is common in languages other than English to place the noun first.
I think the English is in a way wrong for putting the adjectives first in order of hierarchy.
Makes more sense to me in order of importance to communicate the most critical bits first and the descriptive bits after.

Like, if you say I am a huge dickhead. Fair enough, I get it.
BUT I think from a language standpoint it is more easily and clearly understood that I am first, said dickhead, and secondly, a huge one at that.
