Broke my Guitar Acquisition Habit:

You know, I really feel like this headstock shape compliments the Tele-style body. I thought it might look too futuristic at first...thoughts???

I think the headstock looks good on them, not too futuristic at all. Nice looking guitars Robert, well done. I dunno why but John 5 comes to mind when I look at them. On the "Keef" 5 string thing, I've read a few different things he's said over the years. He usually throws the "3 notes, 2 fingers & 1 A hole" thing out there, which always amuses me cause you actually use 3 fingers, but anyway the one that makes the most sense to me is that with 6 strings in open G, tuned D, G, D, G, B, D, you have two root notes & three fifth notes, so the fifth kinda over rides the root, but more importantly, the lowest string is the fifth, not the root. If you try the 6 string tuning & play "start me up", you'll see how much that low string is in the way, kinda thing, so he removed it. Of all the things I've read him say about, that's the one I'm buying. Cheers

Wow, thank you, Ivan....

You won't believe me, but I thought the same thing!!!

John 5 is a wicked guitarist. Roots in country. Lent a hand on the 'Skynyrd "God & Guns" album. I was reading a Gary Rossington interview where hr spoke about John 5 turning up at the studio straight from a Manson show, still in full regalia, & told them "I was raised on Hee Haw". Phenomenal player. Cheers

My Mom appeared on Hee Haw!

How much is one of these Herndon Teles going for?

These three were built strictly for promotional purposes, so I have never assigned a value to them yet. There are plans to put three more in production right now. Not many will love the monstrous neck that I designed to my own preferences....it's bigger than the Gibson 50's profile and bigger than a 1950's Stratocaster 'U' profile...

Interesting... I don't like fat necks. I had a Glen Burton SG that had a baseball bat FAT neck. I traded it. The guy who got it, loves it. He plays slide on it.

The only thing that saved my 2016 Gibson SG was the huge 50's profile neck. For some reason, nothing else feels right.
