Short scale bass strings --- I have no short scale bass......PM your addy and they are yours.

The cores of the strings usually snap on me. Either at the bridge, or up by the tuner...then they just flop around by the windings.
 
I was looking to change the strings on a short scale I had (had) from round wound to flats.......AND TBTH the Rotto sounds where purchased to TRY on my T-40 --- but I mistakenly ordered short scale............the NECK on the T-40 is as long as a short scale bass ....so....er NO .....my "F" up your gain ya Bastard. today I guess LUCKY bastard;)

Gahr I have seen a Bass string used as the brake lever cable on a very old Harley Rat bike.......for several YEARS of daily commute use........they last MANY moons if cared for properly
 
Yes. To be clear...they last many moons before snapping the cores. I mean, who ever changes bass strings on a regular basis?!?
My Washburn bass strings must be about five years old now. They're about due to start to let go if I start playing bass a bit more often, and if I go back and forth between alternate tuning(drop D an such).

I only change them if I want to TRY a new toneal spectrum.......all my peaveys have tapewounds.....all the others have flats......I wanted to slap some flats on a Peavey.....for shits and giggles......typically on a used bass I will swap strings when I get it----then..........well come to think of it the Fedner jazz strings are approaching at least 5 years......when did I get that thing.........was when I lived in Alabama......had it there for a few years.....yes those are going on 6 years....if you wipe them down after use and arent WAILING on them like Nikki SixX....they last a damn long time.....

BUT I am not hard on strings my 6 string critters have strings that last 3-5 years===I am not hard on my toys---
 
Im glad you quit that band........horrible influence.........just look at that guy playing an EPIPHONE with DOG EAR PUPS------ oh the horror --- how ever did you tolerate such mediocrity and underachievement ????????
