Fralin Humbucker info please

MAtes,

I took these out of my Gadow semi-hollow. They are 3 conductor Fralins measuring
Neck: 8.53 /4.25
Bridge: 9.73/4.93

This seems a bit hot for their Pure PAF and a bit low for their high output. My guess it is their pups with Alnico IV magnets from what I have seen online. I would like to find a piece of wood to put these in. However, they did not stay in the Gadow very long and I have no memory of how they sound. I also have no experience with Fralins. I read that Fralin humbuckers tend to have a brighter, almost single coil sound. Any guidance on what to expect or where these would best work would be appreciated.

(Note - I wrote the "N' and "B" on the back)

I'm not sure those are 3 conductors. I think they are 2 conductors with a shield, that looks like a third conductor. My Holy Grail pickups for my Old Lady '71 SG is a set of Fralins, built for RS Guitarworks. They are similar to Fralins own Unbuckers... the dominant coil is got some more coil wounds than the slug coil... PAF style! Just what the Doctor ordered for the wooly Old Lady... :dood:

Nice ax, honest wear!

The colors and functions match the Fralin info. The white is hot and the red splits it as as indicated above. Black and bare are the grounds. They also have a braided sheild and 4 conductor versions

She's really nice; nice white binding, pearl inlays and the SG 'faded' type body.

Does that other pickguard mean you can put P90s in her too?
That PG seems to be for HBs too, but it is open on the bottom. My guess is that is what he used when he had the complete "big metal thingie" installed and put in the new one when he removed a portion of it

That was the original pickguard. I've had that guitar since '78. Around 1980, after I snapped the original Vibrola, I was talked into having a Kahler system installed. The original pickguard was routed out to accomodate the Kahler.
