just a little more .02 , I know Robert is confident in his pedals, but in addition to my TS9, I have one of each of these. Imagine that, a 4 hole pre Master V, 5 watt head needing a distortion pedal. Pardon the Spanish in the 1st clip, but I think when he plays, it is pretty good example of the sound.

I'm not a real educated pedal guy. I have the same pedals since the 80's/90's. I run the following Boss pedals in this order:

Boss CS3
Boss GE7
Boss DD3
Boss NS@

All have been modded for modern/quiet operation by Modest Mike....

Yeah I understand where your coming from and that sucks! Shouldn't matter the gear! You can play circles around me and if I showed up with my SG Std. & you your Schecter and they preferred me because of gear I wouldn't even take them seriously. They don't have to play it right? As far as Gibson prices I am very familiar with. The problem is I can pick up a Faded SG from $400-$500 & Faded LP $500-$600 with cases and upgrades from Craigslist almost anytime I want. SG Standards for $750-$800 in like new condition. Hell I recently saw a brand new 2016 SG Std. on the GP for $800! As I have said I have had a list of MIA Fenders & Gibsons and have never paid more than $750 for any of them. I have $699 + shipping in my 2016 Std. by way of a trade for a LP I bought :)

I've only seen one band (thus far) that mandated a Gibson. Most like you to have one for certain songs. I actually portrayed Angus in a AC/DC tribute band once as a hired replacement and borrowed a friend's SG for the job...

Robert, I only sought out to buy 1 pedal. A TS9.
All my other pedals I got free or in a box lot of mics, cords, pedals, at an estate auction I think I paid $50 for the whole box.

I got about 4 pedals and 6 cords and 2 mics and a few other goodies so that was a well spent 50

As per my blind buddy who has this pedal, He really likes this one, so if I am ever in the market for another pedal, I think I want to try to pick one up for myself.

Also Robert....if you want to just give a hotter pedal a whirl I have a Boss BC-2 sitting here I would be willing to send you. Some people hate on it but they really haven't tried it out or spent time with it. But for comparison I have my Lovepedals JTM drive & Superlead and that BC-2 can cop pretty much the same tones as both of them. Seriously and sounds good. The Lovepedals maybe a little more articulate but that's all subjective and another convo. Let's just say these 3 stayed and an OCD didn't.

Wow. The OCD is supposed to be pretty awesome too!!!! Its Don Felder's pedal of choice for his live rig.

Yeah to me it just didn't do it. Didn't seem to be as open natural sounding. I felt the same about the Full-Drive 2 I had also and people love that one to. I also see a lot of people basically use it as a semi clean boost. Not what I wanted it for. I have a built in boost on my TSA head and a couple of Tubescreamers that can do the same thing.

I'm so traditional....I guess I am just comfortable with these old Boss stomp boxes. I'm not a really sharp guy. I bought a G1Xon and cannot figure out how to work it!
