Yeah Buddy, I was awake and heard RVA playing some ALLMANS, and Clapton which got me to thinking about some groups I don't hear mentioned very often any more. I was listening to RVA playing some ALLMANS and Clapton and got to thinking about some bands I miss hearing. I really enjoyed this reunion of BTO so here we go.

HAHA @ Frampton imitating Ringo and " you 2 lucky sob's getting guys coming and giving you guitars"

There is something I seriously dig about the Buttery smooth bass and the unforgettable voice of Burton Cummings in this song,

Another thing my uneducated mixing/recording ear hears when I listen to recordings lije No Sugar vs some other more modern recordings is the mix. What I especially appreciate is being able to hear all the parts of songs. When the drums get lost or the bass is muddled etc, NO dice on this offering. The drums are well heard, the bass drives along, Burton's singing kicks it and keys and guitar fill up everywhere as they should. Has anyone else ever heard albums and after hearing them say, I can barely hear the drummer, barely hear ...?

I dig BTO and the Guess Who. Always have.
Randy Bachman knew how to rock. Still does.
Really like Rare Earth as well.

OMG, Hack says Rare Earth and it makes me try to remember other 70's songs I used to love as a kid back then. WHOEVER was alive and older than 10 surely remembers this one. Did you see what Happened?

Oh, yeah. What a phenomenon. Kept happening at different sporting events, right? Then the song ensued...
I seem to remember that CB radios and the song Convoy mirrored this cosmic rise to fame...and around the same time, too. :)

Don't look Ethyl...
And Jim Stafford with the Wildwood Flower.

Almost forgot Spiders & Snakes, by Stafford as well.

OMG, I started watching this demo and it took until I was reading comments, that I saw the dude has a deer lying down beside him as he jams. It is up and walking around later when he slows down the demo then starts lickin him...

"Holy Sheep Shid, Batman."

I like the SLOWDOWN portion of this one. As I shared with DBB once, my fingers are so slow, but I can do some mean bends and vibrato, and layin it down slow like David Gilmour is my only hope of being 1/2 a player I want to be.
