Spotlight - PRS 408

I really like the look of that guitar.
I bet it would sound really nice through
either of my Supro amplifiers.

Tony, I think Ray is not sleeping @ 4 am because he chose NOT to get you that guitar and the guilt is weighing on his mind.

Me, on the other hand was fighting to sleep but not be too sleepy so I could be ready to pick up my girlfriend at the airport around 5 after her red eye flight home from Los Angeles.

I have not slept in years fellas. If I could play guitar in bed it would not bother me as much!

Ray, I suspect that is because you have too many guitars that you've left undistributed to all of your ferengi brothers here.
But seriously, how is it you are not falling asleep driving, or nodding off during lawyer meetings, or worse, coming down sick all the time, etc?

My immune system is good. My drive is unstoppable. I am a type A+. Take no prisoners.

Ray, if you will try this song, see if you don't hear the things I hear in his playing as well.
My ears hear that smooth part, but in behind the notes is a background of punch and fullness of a depth of notes/attack style that sneaks in there to add even more colors to his song.

Take a listen at 1:01- 1:15ish then again at 2:20 to 4:20+ to see what I mean. When I give that firey stuff a listen, I hear grit and even some wah in there. Tell me what you think.

Samba Pa Ti also is a good example of this style of Carlos' playing I enjoy the most. Check these out on good headphones and you will really enjoy what I mean. Oh what awesome players his band was made up of too. From keys to bass to percussion, such synergy.

PS. Ray, I am proud to encourage you in saying how nicely your playing is coming along. Your sound clips show the practice you've done. Keep it up and above all, keep enjoying.

Thank you for he compliment, the encouragement and the cool clips!

No Problemo, Bro I had often tried to find Carlos playing Samba Pa Ti on an SG but think I was only able to find him on that Yamaha. Rumor has it, those are fine instruments and maybe on the heavy side a la LP's.
