Which one fails to entertain or impress you the most???

For me it's Clapton...

I keep digging out Clapton material and listening to as much as I can find and I just don't care for him...

I agree, Sp8ctre. Clapton has never captured my interest. Neither have Page, Beck, Townshend, etc.
Who's playing really appeals to me? Stevie Ray Vaughan and Warren DeMartini, to name a few.

I have to agree with this as well.
He's never lit my fuse.

I cannot get a rush from Hendrix's playing. It may have been innovative, etc., but I find it horribly boring. His Star Spangled Banner is unlistenable. It is no wonder that Jeff Beck, who Hendrix admired so much, also does nothing for me.

I may step on a few toes here. Maybe y'all already think I do, but some of you guys are entitled to your opinions and some may agree or disagree with me. In my case, I will say, some Clapton I don't like, and some I do, agreeing with Frank on primarily the Cream years. Some Jimi I like, others I don't. Same goes for Jeff Beck. But Goldie, I thought u were my friend. What is this crap of not liking Townshend?

Oh and is this DeMartini on this Whitesnake?

Jimmy Vaughan. Pathetic guitar player. A total bafoon. Treated his brother like crap as a kid. (knew em both in Dallas way back) Now trying to live off his dead brother's legacy. Waste of humanity. Wrong brother got on that chopper.....

Also, for an Opposite to this theme in thread, I will give a Nod to one helluva great guitar player.

Mr Robert Cray, he can flat out play and SINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

ever give this a good listen cuz it bomb ass rocks.and becks a wizard plain and simple .
Ya know what I mean
It does not rock for me. The second video is more tolerable, except the times he sounds like Zappa. In the end, I never need to hear that again.

John Sykes played lead guitar on that track. No worries, Chili....Townshend's got incredible talent, and I respect his playing - I just don't dig it.

Start naming guitar player go ahead from A-Z I I have seen 9 outta 10 of them maybe 99 outta 100 of them many in up close and personal in bars clubs smaller arenas .
I can tell as far as guitar any of those same guys who are legitimate players would tell you Beck can eat them alive you may not like or understand his style
but trust me Beck is indeed a master wizard among many Harry potter wannabes LOL . Better yet go watch and Record Live at Ronnie scotts
pick a song any song he does and try to play it . I think you might have a new found respect ask Billy Gibbons what he thinks about
Beck as him if Beck deserves to considered a Master guitarist I already know this answer.

Doesn't matter how great he is if he just don't do it for you...people rave about Vai and I can't listen to him...I'll stick with the blues in general and Peter Green or Gary Moore for the win...
