Trying to decide which one to get...

Ok, the GAS is building. I'm going to have to stop trying to polish my turds and get something I really want instead.

I'm looking to get one of these in the very near future...I just can't decide which one I want. I will have to order on line or have GC order for me, I'll probably buy from GC either way so I can return it easily if it turns out to not be what I think it is.

Did you read up on the Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter?
They ain't A2 mags...

"Merciless high-output passive humbucker pickups created for the most frigid Black Metal, Death Metal, or any other extreme style. As brutal as the Scandinavian Winter."

Both of these guitars (black or white) have negatives with the finish as far as I'm concerned.

Black Satin gets shiny where it's touched with fingers a lot, like around the knobs and switches (just a knob in this case) and below the strings. I don't like that, but I can live with it.

The reviews I've read about the white one say that the finish starts to yellow very quickly. I've seen pics where they look more yellow/cream than white. Plus the pickup and mounting ring stays white and looks...off. I don't know if I can live with that.

Yes I have, I've read the reviews and listened to the demos, too. I'll try it, but I don't expect to keep it in there. It might just need a magnet swap. I've never bought a guitar that I didn't expect to swap pickups in. That's no biggie, I have this Suhr SSH+ that I recently fell in love with as well as a few more go-tos.

Even if I get the white one I'll probably swap the pickup for the Fat 55, the double black one.
