A definite favourite. It's this piece that introduced me to Coltrane's music. Thanks!
During this period Miles exhibited the meditative, Zen-like clarity of intention that I’ve been chasing with my playing as I reach old age. I’ve given up on speed and fancy licks… I just want to place the right note in the right spot, in tune and in time, and play a real melody composed on the spot.

We've been watching that series. It's great!I have read every book authored by Michael Connelly. Reading all about Harry Bosch's affinity and love of jazz music totally intrigued me and caught my attention.
i feel this deeply.... I just want to place the right note in the right spot, in tune and in time, and play a real melody composed on the spot.
You and me both. I can’t shred, but I think it’s probably because I found it kinda boring. If it had hit me like the blues did, I might have learned to do it.Since i've never been capable of pyrotechnics in any case, maybe in retrospect that gave me a bit of a head start towards that
eventual goal, LOL.
