Checking in. Let's roll

Do you remember Jon Wilder? (Wilder Amplification).

He was a hoot.
I remember him well and as much as he could be hard to deal with and a little abrasive I did like having him around. He had choice words for me too back in the day but I used it as motivation to get better.

I don't know anything about his client relations or business so I can't comment on any of that.

A lot of us techs are weirdos and hard to talk to sometimes.

I can't comment on his business practices, but one might consider extending an invitation. He appears to know his tech stuff overall. Not my call to make, though.

Welcome Purgasound :Welcome:
I got my start into building, repairing, and designing electronic equipment through these types of forums and hope to give back in some way because much of the info that got me started is gone forever. It's a shame the MF owners don't place any value on that type of legacy whatsoever.
I got started in a similar way way back when Google Groups was the only online resource. Lord Valve was my tech back then and told me about that group. Those guys were brutal but it forced me to learn or be ridiculed and shamed, there were no lilly rules about speech on those original forums. It is sad the VS group just wiped out decades of members and their experience from TDPRI MF and TGP, prolly many more.

I'm looking forward to better here, and your input.
