What Are You Doing Right Now?

This is my first morning home in about 20 days. Spent a total of 11 days in hospital for various health problems, everything seems to be cooling down for the moment ( which is sweet for my wife as she's taking it harder than me). It started with me collapsing in the shower with no reason, woke up in the ambulance, five days later they announced that I have the TQL Syndrome, some sort of genetic thing (see the web for more).

Got back home and 4 days later my legs and feet have swollen horribly going from 146 lbs (total weight) to 164.
Back to hospital again for 6 days for a battery of tests and gimmicks , results : heart failure, they drained me for 3 days, changed all my medication once again and kept me another 3 days to verify.

I was sent home :)

2 days later... my inner elbow started becoming hard and looked infected.
Back to hospital...
Only 2 days this time. It's a phlebitis due to and IV that irritated and artery in the 6 days from the last hospitalization :D

This one is easier to tame :)

Hope to be here back on tracks in the next few days brothers. Keep my place warm !!!

Cheers y'all.
Seriously dude. That's more crap that's happened to just you than several folk combined. Take care and get better.

Getting ready for the next round of severe weather in Illinois. Central Illinois where my eldest lives is in line for outbreak of tornadoes. He lives near Peoria. Not good.

Storms are done for now. No excitement at my house. As expected up in the corner of the state a few miles from the WI border we got a fair amount of rain. Nothing severe. Same for my kid that lives in Chicago. In fact, Cubs were able to play ball last night. My kid that lives near Peoria was pretty worried based on everything being predicted.... as in big tornadoes. Well.... the line moved south and hit south central Illinois. Charleston and Effingham area. Just saw a couple photos from Effingham of Mid America Motorworks. Some of you will know that name as they sell parts for Corvettes..... uhm..... used to.

So far I haven't heard any reports of injuries beyond minor..... which would be awesome considering some of the photos I'm seeing.

And after tornado.

Just got back from a Tom Petty tribute band show at our local lakeside venue. From Memorial Day to Labor Day there’s a tribute band playing there every Friday and Saturday night. These guys were really good. Check out what my wife’s Apple Watch had to say about it.

Found out today that I drew an archery deer tag!
(Game and fish put results out on the portal)

I grew up and cut my teeth and learned archery hunting on this one beautiful mountain.... I hunted there every year (statewide over the counter archery tag) for about 20 years! Shot some nice bucks up there, saw bears, lions, got charged by bears twice up there, saw giant elk, shot a few arrows that I only hit trees as well! It was my spot. . My favorite spot since I can remember!

Then one year, 2 city folk kids from Phoenix shot a couple bucks near a neighborhood off the mountain down near town, and the deer ran into peoples yards and died and the kids never even went and picked them up ! They just rotted!
The neighbors threw a hissy at game and fish...

So the following year it went to a draw unit!... The only units that were "draw units" are the kaibab-strip (north rim of the grand canyon) trophy units where some of the largest mule deer in the world roam free along the Utah border....
But now... I couldn't just hunt my beloved unit any longer... Had to put in for it and hope to get drawn!
So every year for the last 15 or so I've not been drawn for that tag and I complain about it non stop....

That all changed today! I finally got drawn in that unit!

Since I last hunted those hills, I've tacked on a couple more knee surgeries, a complete shoulder surgery, a major back surgery, double hernia surgery, and had both thumbs and a finger released.... Plus heart problems ha ha ha ha it's bad!

Today I ordered a stairmaster off Amazon, (to help get my fat arse in some sort of shape) and I got my bow out and shot about 20 arrows through it once the sun cooled down a bit.

I've got a lot of work to do before I dare attempt chasing those big ol mule deer around that mountain again! I've got until middle of August!

I'm so looking forward to it!
