PHOS: Major try from Writing, Tracking, Mixing & Mastering

Last week's song. Supro is encouraging different songs for sure. No doubt Youtube compresses more than or dif than Spotify.

Last weeks song , Lay Your Burdens Down. This batch of 4 was learning the Supro better. Since then the Valco gim9011a & Sunn Cab have appeared & a Jensen MOD 12-50 is in play. Taking a week off after 4 in a row. I don't play for a few days & then all the sudden, 4 more outlines for songs are in the looper. Next 4 songs are all in mix & final master stage, Supro & Valco together.

This next 4 that are in tracking stage, are slightly dif, looking at pushed clean tones. Really enjoyed hearing Television, Marquee Moon for the first time. Then went & found all that early 70's sorta alternative-punk maybe before the Punk explosion hit. Lots of tone that was out of the mainstay Marshall rock standard at the time. Sorta where am hovering around lately but having SL 100, it will always go sorta that way, maybe merging the 2. Having fun for sure, it is a privilege to make music.

First one, MountainTOP, of next batch of 4, all are tracked & in mixing phase. I think unintentionally, 2 songs will fit in the Orpheus AI thread. They could fit as 2&3 right after Usher in the Pain, wasn't trying to accomplish that, just happened. So much enjoying just recording with no strings attached whatever the guitar & amp is giving me to feed off of each week. The Valco & Supro then the Plexi leads over it is a real easy formula. It is simple which makes writing the songs more of the focus vs worrying about gear. They place themselves right in a mix without much tweaking.

The production is really good. Dynamic

I like the lead tone !

I like this style , nice .
Thanks ! Looks like discovering new sonic territory is encouraging song writing quite a bit.

Lately i have discovered bands like, Television - especially Marquee Moon album. Stone Roses their ambient emotion. Brit Pop & all the shades of punk & pop punk i missed growing up by being such a metal head.

It has been a relief to "drop" genre specific box & just make music. Major credit to Valco & Supro, those 2 amps reveal so much more of each guitars natural tone clean & then when dimed natural edge of breakup for leads & then boost to pop it out front. Good stuff.
