New Truck Day!!

Finally found a deal worth doing. It's been a long time coming. Now I know, most people get cars regularly and it's no big deal, but I made it since 1998 without spending much more than 2k on a vehicle.....not because I can't, it's that I just don't want to.

I've always wanted an F150, so, Bing!!

Was debating, but the vanity plate was the deciding factor that forced me to do it.

Now, my inner self wanted black or green. But the wheeler dealer in me wanted anything worth the price of admission..

The last color I would have chosen was red....but, then I started thinking, geezz, who doesn't like Heritage Cherry??

Yup.....they love each other already.

Congrats!
thats a great photo match up with the SG.

It is a big deal.
My vehicles are long in the tooth and the wife is starting to squawk about it.

What an overpriced false bottom balloon economy sector.
The wizards of oz and the guy from Animal House keep telling us "keep calm, all is well"
Bullshit.

Thanks guys.

I wasn't really wanting a cap, because I need the bed, but it's a beautiful addition....plus I have a trailer, so I'll get by. And, it has a roof rack.....another score.

I couldn't walk away, and we negotiated a good and fair deal (for me). When he wouldn't budge anymore, I managed to talk him into tossing on some new tires. Not the best tires, but I won't have to drop another grand anytime soon.

What the heck some more truck porn.

So how hard is it to remove and replace the bed cover?

Looks super clean! How many miles?

BTW, I'm also a Ford F-150 owner. Bought mine new last year. So far, so good. I really wanted to continue my loyalty towards Toyota, but I fell in a wormhole and next thing I knew I was inside a Ford...

It's quiet difficult, in the sense that it's big and heavy....not a one man job, unless you rig a system. The demonstration video I saw, suggested four people for regular removal.

As for disassembly, it's only six clamps inside. Very easy.

I have seen videos of people who rig four straps from the ceiling in a garage. You push up the cap with your back, slide a 2x4 under so it sticks out the sides....do this front and back. Lasso the 2x4 ends and lift with the straps.

Not sure I'll do it....but it's an option.

OH THE NUMBER OF BODIES i COULD FIT IN there!?!?!?!?!?

It's got high mileage on it, pushing almost 80. It's why I got it for a great price. But it sure is clean, and in super condition. The previous owner was going from Ct to Ny for his business, so it's all hwy.

I'll probably only use it 2-3 times a week, so I'm hoping to get some years out of it. I already know I'll get another some day.

nice........and easy clean up with the bed liner--- however--- the truck color (and or a little rust) sorta camouflages dried blood-----I mean --- so I have heard...
