The best thing about marching band was the flag girls.
Wearing that thick uniform in humid weather for 2.5 miles at a stretch. Didn’t care for doing the football games in the rain though. But it was fun.

Wearing that thick uniform in humid weather for 2.5 miles at a stretch. Didn’t care for doing the football games in the rain though. But it was fun.
Flags followed. Trombone marched in front row following the Majorettes. I never complained.The best thing about marching band was the flag girls.
Rain sucked. Marched in a parade in snow once. People with brass instruments were taking the mouthpiece out between songs and putting in an inside pocket to keep it warm. Actually had a blast in spite of the weather.
