TVvoodoo is a throwback to my old broadcast TV days in the late 80's and through the 90's. There's a saying in the biz about "TV Magic" in how things can come together sometimes..... like the sum being greater than it's parts: Visuals, music, voice-over.

One day in a post-production suite we were cutting a spot for a mid-size restaurant chain and I commented "TV magic" to describe a how a series of particularly mouth-watering food shots I'd directed were working... The editor noted what we had here was "stronger than TV magic, it was TV Voodoo!" edit: in retropect I will add it was probably getting close to lunchtime LOL!

I recall the pics as a bunch of dressed-up burger combo platters ("BurgerFest" promo for a Canadian chain called "Smitty's")... the kitchen crew had done an exceptional job in dressing the plates, and we had the lighting and background just right. I think I had brought my home-built electrical Lazy Susan which slowly rotated the plates so the food looked even more enticing, in the final viz.

About the same time I made my first e-mail account and sort of adopted it as a personal brand. Doesn't make any sense at all anymore, I have been out of television since 2004... but I still do like the ring of it.

Ok, my turn…

Most of my career of bringing home the bacon was working for a foodservice company called Sysco. For 34 years I was a truck driving delivery driver. Once in awhile while I would be making a delivery, and a real happy smart-ass tourist will be walking by and say: “Hey Cisco! Where’s Poncho?”, or “Hey, it’s the Cisco Kid!”

@iblive How 'bout Hop Along Cassidy?
I know who Hop Along Cassidy is…. Don’t remember ever watching as a youngster. Mainly due the the TV series ending 2 years before I was born. And films ended 6 years before I was born.
