It’s a beautiful guitar! but I just can't see me spending $4,000 on any guitar. I will never say never though.
True but I wouldn’t say any guitar.
It’s not affordable but there are a lot of guitars in that price range I would buy. That’s not one of them.

My Godin Session Blackburst, which you now can no longer get in this gorgeous colour , and high quality better than my $1,500 Fender Tele. I paid $499.99 for it. Now it lists for over $1,300. And of course all Godin guitars made here in Canada.

My Progression Strat with H.D.R the quality when i purchased it, I paid $900 at the time was as good as the American made Strat that was $1,800. Now to buy the progression today is about $2,000 mark.

My Core CT which I purchased for $800 high quality, compare to a Gibson Tribute at $1.600, and it spanks a Tribute by the way when it comes to quality and playing.

I have to say, these guitars cover all the ground i need for a fraction, of the price for any of the guitars out there, at the prices they are asking today. One thing I can tell you a $4,000 guitar won't sound any better than these, or hold up as far as quality goes.

Won't hold up as in not as good a quality?
Once a guitar hits a quality level where there are no defects in fit and finish or electronics or setup, there really is nowhere else to go with it. At that point, 1 guitar cannot be considered higher quality than the other. One can't say that a 1000$ guitar will be better "quality" than a 4k guitar.
In the case of the Lerxst, a big part is the limited edition nature of it.
My at the time 2k Godin (now over 3k) with the synth access had terribly dull sounding pickups. Couldn't EQ it out, I switched out bridge pickup. The bridge itself is aliminum and Godin offers upgraded brass inertia block. So even a gutar of that caliber could use upgradss.
The Godin replacement for that pickup is like $59 and it shows. A cheap terrible sounding pickup.

I should add there are many factors in a guitar price.
Is it a sculpted, arch top or flat? Arch top will cost more.
Is it a nice flame top maple cap or a basic mahogany or ash etc body? The cap costs more to make.
Does it have binding? Binding costs more.
Etc.
Doesn't mean the quality is necessarily better but it does cost more.

And then you hit the threshold were a really great guitar is not only a fantastic tool for making music but it is also a work of art. Think wood type, grain patterns, finish, binding, hardware and other bling.
