What's your main dirt pedal?

The volume knob.
That is often not practical, so TS-5; sometimes more as boost, sometimes with more drive.

The Waza version is nothing like the standard one. It's probably the best OD I have ever used, no joke, and I have had them all (Fulltones, Timmys, Wamplers, etc).
It works great both as a boost in front of an overdrive amp and as a distorion in front of a classic amp.
 
Nice! I'm getting back a BD-2 that I loaned out a million years ago. I'm gonna mod it and stick it on a board that I'm building for my wife, that will double as a lap steel board and triple (???:)) as an acoustic board, though I doubt I'll run od with the acoustic. :)

I might. I'll have to see. I've ran my guitar into my 800 before, but just the Low input. I can't imagine the howling feedback through the monitors if I really got it dirty. A little dirt could be cool, but I got electrics for that. :)
 
My favorite...and gold...overdrive pedal, the Rocktron Austin Gold. I love running is on low gain into the green Crunch channel of my DSL100h. I have a thing for these Rocktron pedals.

I still like my regular Blues Driver. I only use it sparingly, and I like what it sounds like
through my Orange Micro Terror, which has no f/x of its own, but plays well with pedals.

And like some of these other guys, I like to use the amp's pedal to
switch... the difference for me is that I switch to a different preset. I do this using my Vox VT-30
which has a couple of tones I really like, and enjoy being able to call up with one stomp.

I rarely use pedals except when playing at low volumes for practice. Then it will be a Boss Blues Driver or a Way Huge Green Rhino. They get about equal use.
 
I have an Ibanez Tube screamer (TS9/TS808) circuit built into my main amp, an Ibanez TSA5.
I can switch it on and off at will with an a/b pedal.

If I want to get really raucous and dirty, I will step on my (Tobacco Worm/Walks Backwards) modded Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal. (Anyone from "The Other Place" remember that??? ;))

I only use 2 dirt pedals and I even posted pictures.
I guess we should all say what we like about our particular
pedals and maybe tell backstories if there are any.
I'll be back as soon as I deal with real life for a bit.
 
I got some as I remember, but they're in a box somewhere I think. Been put up for a while and I don't even remember what I got. :confused:So I guess I'm cranking with my app's drive channel. Works for me.:)
 
This is still the only pedal I seriously get out when I want to get the job done, bass or guitar. It doesn't pack quite enough punch for the heavier metal stuff I occasionally play, but it does everything else.
