✧ Project: Orpheus - Imagine Create Share ✧

I am keeping my sci fi like Star Trek theme but songs being written are going to be named accordingly. Not what I originally planned but it’s fine, everything is subject to change I guess. One or 2 could survive.

You guys are asking me to do things, well I guess I volunteered. lol
This is long and a lot more than I have publicly posted or even spoke of anywhere. First an Appropriate tittle.

Science VS Reality

As far back as I remember, I looked into the sky and wondered about the unknown, what’s out there ?
I just assume we all want to know.

In Middle School, I was a bit of a nerd. I had a passion for science, a bit odd I suppose.
By the time I actually started roaming the High School Campus as a Freshman some things became instantly apparent.
This was a turning point in my life and as my favorite lyricist explained in Subdivisions
“ be cool or be cast out”
We are a product of our environment and rural suburbia (country) in 1974 was not all as one would expect.

Life moves on, I started a family at a young age with those responsibilities the things I loved growing up had to take a back seat.
Motorcycle racing, later we did do ATV’s and I raced them also ( great fun) The rock and subsequent guitar enthusiasm never went very far from my grasp.
I had to tell you all of that so could tell you this.
As all of those things tend to fade away as l aged, I got more involved in reality.

A world driven by $
I never forgot about my interest for Science and I don’t view my songs as science fiction even though that’s where they fit.
I try to use some reality sprinkled on top.

Man’s (And Ladies) mission to explore the unknown parts of the solar system is now in reach of the furthest planet in the solar system. I have to say as a side note , once Orpheus was announced I started a tune. After that I started hearing about the Comet and that sucked me in like , well a vacuum in space.

Now , that brings us to the Kuiper Belt.
This is what is beyond the solar system, named after a scientist. It is pronounced
Ky-per.
Another thing to know is AU. 1 AU is a astronomical unit that is the distance from earth to the sun.

The New Horizon Project launched in January 19 2006. It was attached to an Atlas 5 rocket , the most powerful at the time. It took 9 hrs. to get to the moon. 10 times faster than Apollo.
It made it’s way to Jupiter to use the gravity to slingshot it faster to shave off 3 years.
It arrived at Pluto the Dwarf Planet July of 2015. 3 billion miles. In 2019 New Horizon did a fly over of the KBO “2014MU69” that is in Kuiper Belt. Pretty far out in space. The Kuiper Belt is between 30 and 50 AU.

The latest chapter of The Keeper Of Darkness has been posted.

So, how's everyone else's projects going?

The latest chapter of KoD has been posted ...

The Keeper Of Darkness ch. 5 is up!

I wrote this back in January with intention to play it myself, it is far to perfect for me to reproduce it . I guess not totally perfect, there are maybe a couple of flaws but when I heard the chorus I was in awe of the composition. It sounds original to me.

Prelude:
After Millions of years pre- historic times receded . The earth cycles repeat and a decline in civilization as we know it , it begins to decay.

100 years after , eminent disasters the streets are empty. Men who previously pioneered space have returned to the earth’s atoms after coming back here from a cosmic pressure cooker.

A last effort to save the future remains with a single hope. One man will attempt defying the laws of physics and break the standards of time and space. Traveling in space time.

The epic song describes a perspective told by one of a few bots left to control the program from the blue planet.
The distance from earth has become so far over many decades the signal is weak and slow.

Transmission Delay

@ibmorjamn, this stuff is really great!
i'm diggin' it!
Transmission Delay makes me want to do some scratching over those beats, too.
It is really exciting , I have listened to these songs nearly everyday. Great beats and hooks.
It takes a while to get them sounding the way you want them and even after 10 covers it might not be there yet.
The lyric tweaking can sometimes fail with best efforts. The final product can be a crap shoot.

I have one that came out pretty good, totally not my style of music.
I forgot to prompt the style so it became a pop song. It fits the song (amazing female vocal) I don’t know the exact style but I called Diva style.lol
I am still working on my own productions but some of these songs are just great catchy tunes.
One is called “Heavy Load” about Freight Trains. One called “Gas It” about drag racing.
I actually wrote a very heart felt song , it’s called “ Man of the World” this one had almost no editing except lyrical.
The Diva song:

some of us are giving a listen
Heck yeah!
i'm always happy to support creative endeavours, the riskier or quirkier or just plain odd-er the better!
My biggest problem with it is that the better something is, the more it inspires me to make something myself,
and i'm pretty busy with that anyhow, but any music that gets posted here ... i'm going to listen to it, pinky swear!!!
We all owe each other at least that much, right? :)
