Drawer Slide ISO Speaker

Since I watched Tim Pierce go over a friend’s house that had a closet converted to ISO, I have to give it a shot.
My carpenter skills are not that that great.
prepare to be under whelmed .

Using some existing items, small drawer, a left over 12” speaker baffle and a small shelf.

I attached a bearing slide to the bottom of the drawer so I can slide it out and change speakers.
It’s not going to be pretty but maybe if it works I’ll perfect it with better material.

I bought a little pedestal mount and clamp for the mic.
My thought is to use a 2” mattress gel pad to sound insulate it, maybe extra drywall.
I am reluctant to add any photos.
Still need the insulation.
 
The current speaker placement is a circumstance of the baffle. I had the baffle laying around. I had intended to cut out a baffle to allow the speaker to face up so it would make mic placement simpler.
Even so am happy with it aimed toward the floor. Volume turned down it becomes nearly silent.
Even volume turned up about 9:00 position gain at 1:00 on the blue channel it is so much better ( more manageable in the room).

Now I can do a lot of speaker testing.
Next up before changing I am going to test the Dean with the SD Invader.

The Invader is brighter, I am going to try to tighten up my playing skill on this particular riff before posting another tone and then changing speakers.
 
I have been playing the Invaders since I posted on this thread but I went back to using the stomp for now. I have a tune in progress. I have to finish. Just a little Drop D for the chugs chuga
 
Wow, today I was playing the Egnator Tweaker in to the Man -o - War speaker.
I got good classic rock tone with the Ebony/ Ebony LP studio. Something however is wrong, maybe the wiring when I changed out the pickups. It fades in and out.
So I grabbed the LP Classic and the DSL 40CR. That combo with 2 pedal in front set to unity gain as boost. Perfect for what I was looking for. I will post a short clip.
