So here are the Tom Anderson Options.

On the left we have the bridge options. The H1- through H3+ have ceramic magnets. The HO has an Alnico II magnet. The # denotes how hot it is with 1- the least and 3+ the most hot for TA pickups (there is no "4").

On the right are the neck options, a H1- and a PH1-. I do not know what magnets the PH pickups have, but they sound nice!

OK. I have double Tom Anderson buckers or I could throw a Tom Anderson HB sized P90 in the neck (which looks just like a P94). I am concerned that the HB P90 will look awkward

Whatever you choose, I'm happy with the look of the pickups in the SG in my sig... I don't think I would have minded a double black in the bridge position either, but I do have that nostalgic soft spot for those 79 "The SG" models with the Velvet Brick zebra in the bridge.

Yes, but I must chose from the warehouse. I think this one will look/sound good with the Tom Andersons. I have some PRS pups, but I just put those in the green LP

I may give them a shot one day. For this guitar, I am going to go with the PH1- and the HO2. It should make for a very interesting ax.

Check em out on a future project RVA--- great pups fer cheap --- I use them if I have to repair or upgrade a flipper--- not putting 100.00 pickups in a guitar that will not be around long.....

I say choose a sonic option you do not already have in your stable.
But covered or uncovered would look equally boss.

I have a set of nickel Giovanni gvh-1 Al5 that need a home, so thats where I'm going.
I have Al2 magnets I may try and compare in them..

I will be on the lookout for a used pair of Gibson Classic 57 / 57+ at the right price at the right time,
but for now this is it.

I have not have time to work on mine.
I built a 2nd Arbiter Fuzz Face, this time a Ge and....
its not working so far.
